Inter Milan confirm they are in talks to sign Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed that the club have made an official approach to Manchester United for striker Romelu Lukaku. But discussions over the transfer fee remain a sticking point.
Lukaku has been strongly linked with Inter throughout this summer and has publicly stated his desire to play in Italy. And his admiration for new Nerazzurri head coach Antonio Conte too.
Yet despite his apparent desire to leave United, he reported early for pre-season training . It appears he is handling his uncertain future with a little more enthusiasm than want-away team-mate Paul Pogba.
Lukaku is currently in Australia on United’s pre-season tour, but Ausilio has decided to confirm a meeting between officials. Officials of his club and the Old Trafford giants to talk over the transfer of the Belgian striker .
“We had a meeting with Manchester United for Lukaku,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was an official approach between two important clubs. We’ll see what happens. Conte wants every player we’re trying to sign.”
Inter are not yet prepared to meet United’s £75m valuation of Lakaku .The Manchester club look to recoup all of the money they paid Everton to sign the striker two years ago.
A move to Inter would see Lukaku link up with former manager Conte, who tried to sign him at Chelsea.
